Job role

Fly Llanbedr is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for flying and catering!

The successful candidate will assist in providing a friendly and positive experience for all Fly Llanbedr customers.

Working "hands on" the main focus of the role will be to help establish and oversee a quality Cafe and Catering Service. There will also be an opportunity to get involved with the flying operations "Front of House" and "1st line administration" for our Flight Training and Flight Operations services.


The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication and numerical skills.

Formal catering qualifications would be of benefit e.g. Level 3 Supervising Food Safety for Catering.

Experience of working in a commercial catering environment and/or supervision of staff in a similar public facing service environment would be an advantage.

Personal Characteristics

This role requires a person with good communication skills, an outgoing personality and one who is comfortable dealing with members of the public. The ideal individual would be a team worker with supervisory experience and the confidence to act on their own initiative. The individual is expected to be able to multi task, providing both catering and FLL Front of House/1st Line admin services and will be a key member of the FLL team.

Hours of work

The role will require regular weekend and occasional extended/out of normal hours working.

The hours of work will be negotiated with the individual applicants and with the need to cover seven days a week throughout the summer, probably as a job share.


Initially, basic pay will be linked to the minimum wage. A discretionary bonus scheme is currently being considered.
